Do AustraliaApril 1, 2014 · Miranda West
This spring, as we Brits emerge from a damp winter with record rainfall, our heads have most definitely been turned by the golden glow of Australia as preparations hot up for the inaugural Do Lectures taking place later this month.
And we have more exciting news to share.
From today our books will be distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Perimeter Distribution.
Based in Melbourne, Perimeter is a newly-formed distributor of specialist, independently published books and magazines with a strong emphasis on design and inspiration, supply bookstores, galleries and other retail outlets in Australia and New Zealand.
We are super excited to be partnering up with them and making our books available to the Doers of these creative and pioneering countries. As Dan Rule, Perimeter's director, says:
‘Perimeter Distribution is thrilled to be bringing Do Books to Australian and New Zealand audiences this April. Sharing information and offering a window into other creative cultures and streams of thought is at the heart of what Perimeter does, and Do Books' thoughtful, quietly inspirational texts will help take us and our curated stable of publishers in some fascinating and stimulating new directions.'
And if you’ve not yet bought your ticket for the FIRST EVER Do Lectures Australia, a little bird tells us that there are only a handful left! The line-up is looking awesome, the chosen venue of Paynes Hut – a beautiful remote spot between Sydney and Melbourne looks stunning – and they have the support of some super cool partners like Dumbo Feather.
We wish them the best of luck. And look forward to hearing tales of inspiration and doing from Down Under.
