About the author

Johnathan Rees is a company commercial lawyer. He has more than 30 years' experience advising a wide range of clients from entrepreneurs to large owner-managed businesses, international corporations, banks and private equity institutions. Having started his career in London with an international law firm, he became a partner in large provincial firms based in Manchester and Bristol. He advises on matters ranging from business startups and commercial contracts to raising finance, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. Welsh and a keen sportsman, Johnathan's first-class rugby career saw him lying on physio tables at London Welsh, Bath and Headingly.
