Delivery & returns

Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 1-2 working days. UK orders are sent via Royal Mail first class. International orders are sent via Royal Mail's tracked & signed airmail service, or in the case of larger orders, via our courier DHL. Where possible, US and Canadian orders are shipped from our US warehouse.  

Digital editions

If you purchase an ebook or your book order includes a complimentary ebook, you will receive a separate email with links to your ebook download once your payment has been processed.

Tax & customs duty

Print and ebooks are zero-rated in the UK so no additional VAT will be added to your order. However, if you are based in Europe, you may be required to pay local customs duty on receipt. So for small quantities, please consider ordering from a European stockist such as Miscellaneous in Amsterdam. We are a UK registered company and our VAT number is 201877714. 

Returns

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase from our website, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Please send to: Do Books, Hackney Downs Studios, 1.2, 17 Amhurst Terrace, London E8 2BT.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: books with obvious signs of use; any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Always consider using a trackable shipping service. We can't guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send an email to support@thedobook.co and post your item to: Do Books, Hackney Downs Studios, 1.2, 17 Amhurst Terrace, London E8 2BT.
